Call for entries: Marking Awards

Initiated by FBIF (Food & Beverage Innovation Forum), Marking Awards is a food and beverage packaging design contest organized in Shanghai since 2016 yet targets the global. During the two years of Marking Awards’ holding, it has received attention from World Packaging Organization (WPO), served as a bridge between brands and design agencies for over 30 times, contributed to traceable cooperation for 8 times, and led to 3 new packages on market, trying every means to promote interaction between food and design.

Its 24 resident juries, half are senior executives of packaging design departments from global top 100 F&B companies, such as Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Nestlé, Mars Wrigley, and half are founders or creative directors from world-class design agencies, such as JKR, BETC, LPK and Brandimage. They are committed to providing the most diversified interpretation and the most professional judgment for the works entered.

Entry Categories


Entry categories for professionals include: 

1. In-Market Entry

-   An integrated package design for food or beverage which has been launched in the market

-   Commercialized packaging structures, innovative functions or packaging materials, e.g. bottle cap, stand-up pouches, plant-based plastics, etc.


2. Conceptual Entry

-   An integrated package design for food or beverage which has not been in the market, can be a brand-new product design or a conceptual design upgrade on a launched product in the market


There is no limit in the food or beverage categories of entries. As long as it is the product people eat or drink in daily life (no matter if it is snacks, yogurt, drinks, or rice, noodles, grain, oil or meal replacement).


Entry Fee


For professionals (brand owners, design agencies, advertisement agencies, packaging suppliers, and freelance designers), application fee is RMB1000 yuan per entry.

* "Per entry" means the entry should be for one specific product with coherent design style. For instance, a juice brand has four different flavors but their package design share a consistent concept or idea, so it is still one entry.
